Brookhaven is located in Georgia's Dekalb County on the northeastern edge of the city of Atlanta. The neighborhood is best known for its historic homes, community vibe, coffee shops, and restaurants. It is also home to Southside Studio, which belongs to famous hip-hop rapper Jermaine Dupri. 
 
Brookhaven gained city status in 2012 after separating from Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood. Townhouses and bungalows constitute the predominant home architecture in the community. Residents and tourists can access numerous parks, boutiques, and upscale restaurants.
